The Grand Summit at The Canyons

In Park City, Utah
This may be one of Americas best kept secrets.  The Canyons is the most amazing ski resorts I have ever skied at, and I started skiing in 1973.  This unbelievable resort spans EIGHT MOUNTAINS, has 3,200 skiable acres with absolutely spectacular runs and bowls at all levels.  If you like TREES, you will not believe this place, especially of Peak 5 and lift Ninety Nine 90.  Be Warned, When they say a run is Double Black They are serious!!  The Canyons is located minutes form Deer Valley and Park City Resorts and about a forty five minute drive from Alta, Snowbird, Brighton or Solitude to the south and Powder Mountain and Snow Basin to the North.  Of course Utah is known for the best powder in the US.  Just take a look at the pictures I took on our trip to the Canyons in February. The Grand Summit is equal in every way to the mountain.  This Four Diamond hotel is beautiful, has great service and Great food.  The Cabin Restaurant and Doc's at the Gondola are both located in the hotel. (And Doc's is at the gondola)

Speaking of dining, Park City has "The Blind Dog," "Zoom," "Empire Lodge Fondue," the buffet at Deer Valley, and too many other great restaurants to count.
When you step out of the front door of the hotel you are at the entrance to the gondola.  You can't get closer than that.  At the end of the day, you ski right up the hotel valet who will take your skies and have them ready for you the next day.

Our unit is a Studio that sleeps three or four.  It is #332 (actually 4 floors up) and is located on the West side of the Grand Summit facing the mountain and next to the gondola.  See the diagram below for location.  I think it has the best views in the building.
